Addiction Recovery Monitoring
Southworth Associates specializes in monitoring for those who require it in order to maintain sobriety and achieve specific life goals. Monitoring services are available during any point in the recover process. These monitoring services include tracking individualized requirements, such as body fluid testing, meeting and treatment attendance, counseling and reporting any non-compliance with those activities to the appropriate sources.
How typical monitoring requirements are tracked:
- UA/drug testing: Clients are required to call into an automated system M-F to find out if they are selected to UA/drug test. If they are selected to test, they have on hand a list of approved testing sites that they are to go to. They are required to bring with them a pre-paid testing form called a Chain of Custody (COC) form.
- Costs for the test are paid through the COC form plus an alternate site fee, which varies between sites.
- If a client’s UA/drug test comes back dilute or positive, it will be reviewed by a Medical Review Office who will determine if the test clears or fails
- Attendance at 12-step meetings: Clients are supplied with AA/NA slips that they take around to their 12-step meetings. They are required to have the slips signed by another attendee or the person chairing the meeting. Each Friday, they are required to mail these slips in.
- Meetings with a therapist/counselor/psychiatrist. If meeting with any of these professionals is a recommendation made by the treatment center or family, then Southworth Associates will request updates from these individuals on either a monthly or quarterly basis, depending on the case.
- Attendance at Aftercare or Outpatient services (if recommended). If a client needs to follow up with Aftercare or Outpatient services, Southworth Associates will request monthly treatment updates from the provider.
- If a client is non-compliant with any of these requirements, the appropriate source will be notified i.e. family member etc.
