John Southworth, CADC has been involved in the field of chemical dependence for over 20 years. He served on the Board of Directors for the Federation of State Physicians Health Programs under the auspices of the AMA and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Intervention Specialists. He has been the Coordinator of the Physician Recovery Network since 1993 as contracted with the Idaho Medical Association and Board of Medicine. He is also contracted with the Idaho State Board of Nursing, Board of Dentistry, and State Bar Association for similar recovery programs. Recently John was appointed to the Governor’s Criminal Justice Commission to help advise the legislature in matters of addiction. John also serves as a consultant for several treatment facilities, facilitates interventions world-wide, coordinates client’s recovery treatment, and provides post-treatment monitoring services. |

Joseph Augustin Wagner is an Interventionist and Treatment Consultant. As an associate of John Southworth, he facilitates interventions world-wide. Joe is also founder of Wagner Interventions, an addiction treatment consulting and placement company whose focus is dedicated to proper placement and quality treatment for all addicts and alcoholics. Joe is a graduate of the University of Chicago (Psychology Major) and the University of Gonzaga School of Law (JD). He has served as an Admissions Counselor at the Betty Ford Center, Rancho Mirage, CA. He is currently a candidate member of the Association of Intervention Specialists. Joe is deeply committed to helping others reclaim their lives by restoring the dignity and human freedom to those who are afflicted with the disease of substance abuse. |

Mark Broadhead, M.D. serves as the Medical Consultant for Southworth Associates, and also serves as a Medical Consultant for the Physician Recovery Network (PRN) Recovery Team. Dr. Broadhead provides to our programs over 15 years of experience in both the psychiatric field as well as substance abuse. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), and his professional affiliations include: the American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, American Society of Addiction Medicine, and the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry. Currently Dr. Broadhead is a psychiatrist on the faculty of the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and the Medical Director for Psychiatric Services, Washoe Medical Center, Reno, Nevada. |

Thomas “Barry” Eschen, M.D. reviews the drug screen results for Southworth Associates. He has been doing this work for 15 years and is certified by the Medical Review Officer Certification Council. He is assisted by Ginger Meeker, RN, Ph.D. Dr Eschen and Ginger strive to provide accurate courteous service. They listen to donors’ explanations of the reasons for positive tests, verify any prescriptions claimed, and report the results according to scientific standards. Dr. Eschen has been practicing addiction medicine for 24 years. He believes that there is always hope for recovery, but that recovery is evidenced by actions, not words. |
