Southworth Associate's Conferences

Southworth Associates hosts several conferences throughout the year as a means to bring together various portions of our industry so we can all network together and make those necessary connections that allow all of us to best serve our client population. Some of these conferences are hosted by Southworth Associates and some are important conferences hosted by some of our colleagues in the industry.

SECAD

SECAD 2010

SECAD 2010 brings to the forefront the latest concepts on the prevention, intervention, and treatment of addiction disorders, facility design and its impact on the healing process, and the business processes and technology solutions that improve facility operations and patient care.

The conference's agenda has been developed by the leading associations in addiction treatment: NAADAC, The Association for Addiction Professionals and NAATP - The National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers. The conference also features technology and design sessions developed by The Software and Technology Vendors' Association (SATVA) and the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).

International Treatment Centers Cooperative Conference (ITCC)

International Treatment Center Cooperative Conference (Vero Beach)

The International Treatment Center Cooperative Conference (ITTC) is also commonly referred to Vero Beach, which is a reference to the conference location. This semi-annual conference is held at the Gonzalas Recovery Residences' Vero Beach Plantation Residence. ITCC is a deliberately small and intimate conference where treatment centers can network with each other in a fun an relaxing environment. Unlike many traditional conferences, ITCC requires that a treatment center clinician attends, not just a marketer. Participants come away from the conference as collaborators, having a much better understanding of what everyone has to offer in order to make better client referrals within the treatment center industry.

ITCC Clarifications: The costs to attend this conference is $500 for an interventionist and $1000 for a treatment center. Treatment centers are allowed to bring two personnel. If a treatment center elects to send only one representative, the cost to attend is still $1000. Treatment centers get ten minutes to address the audience and interventionists get five minutes. The presentation order is random and all attendees are required to remain for the duration of the event.
